MYCELIA 753
ADAVENTURA ART GALLERY
The exhibition presented by De Anima as part of the PhotoBrussels Festival at espace Adaventura interacts the film “Mycelia 753” with a live installation created by the the collective.
The film “Mycelia 753” takes an offbeat, poetic look at the subject of soilless cultivation. Staging a dialogue between human beings and the ultra-sensitive intelligence of plants, “Mycelia intelligence of plants, “Mycelia 753” shows the evolution of a botanist in a dysfunctional city. De Anima takes a critical, offbeat look at this new form of eugenic imposed by a dominant consumer society.
In the installation presented at Espace Adaventura, the De Anima collective works in collaboration with living nature in the throes of rebirth. De Anima gives a second life a second life to certain materials that have been discarded from the Eclo mushroom farm in Brussels.
The walls of the Adaventura space are adorned with reused metal curtains.
of the almost science-fictional architecture of a mushroom farm. This linearity contrasts with the organic, living disorder created bythe mushroom bricks. The installation becomes alive and evolving.
