In a Paris suspended between the present and 2046, a young woman drifts through the night and into dawn, alone among human and luminous flows, searching for an absent presence — and perhaps, without knowing it, a way back to herself.

To lose oneself in the flow. To cross a crowd without ever truly meeting it. To move through noise, colour and light with the strange feeling of being here and elsewhere at once.

The film evokes that intimate moment when a body moves through a world in motion, somehow foreign to its speed, its gestures and its noise — simply looking for a little silence, a little light, perhaps a way of finding itself again.

PROCESS

The film was created for Maitrepierre FW26, as part of Alexandre ongoing visual collaboration with designer Alphonse Maitrepierre.

Inspired by the intersecting lines of Maitrepierre’s Crossroad dresses, the film transforms the garment into a map of the city: routes, networks, reflections and parallel trajectories. Moving between contemporary Paris and Paris 2046, a solitary woman crosses crowds, metro corridors, trains and shifting urban landscapes, caught between absence, memory and possible versions of herself.

CROSSROADS was created through a hybrid filmmaking process combining live-action cinematography, practical environments and performance with green-screen photography, 3D, VFX, compositing, tracking, world building and generative image technologies. Rather than separating these processes, the film brings them together within one continuous cinematic language.

A film conceived as a meeting point between human sensitivity, cinematic storytelling and new forms of image-making.
